Operating Your Portable Hotplate Using Your Portable Hotplate 1. Place the hotplate on a dry, level, heat resistant surface. 2. Insert the power cord into a 230V or 240V power outlet. Switch on at the power outlet. 3. Place the cooking vessel (ie. saucepan), in which the food will be cooked, on the hotplate. On the double hotplate (model KHP2) use the most appropriate sized hotplate. 4. Select the desired temperature setting using the temperature control dial.
Care, Cleaning and Storage Maintaining Your Portable Hotplate Switch the hotplate ‘OFF’ at the power outlet and then remove the power cord. Ensure the hotplate has completely cooled down before cleaning. To clean the hotplate surface, wipe with a damp cloth. A multi-purpose spray cleaner may be used. If necessary, the exterior of the unit may be wiped with a slightly damp cloth, using a mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions to clean the hotplate surface.
