INITIAL OPERATION
For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boil-processes with fresh water (without coffee). Place the
switch (B) of the coffee maker to the ON position (fig. 17). The pilot light (C) goes on.
Once all the water has passed through, switch the appliance off and let it cool down during 5
minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water.
PREPARATION OF COFFEE
Pour the desired volume of water into the water tank (A). The number of cups can be read off the
water level indicator (H).
Insert filter in the filter holder (D) and add the desired quantity of ground coffee. Replace the
filter cone, making sure it is closed correctly.
Place the switch (B) of the coffee maker to the ON position (fig. 17). The pilot light (C) goes on.
When you remove the carafe from the appliance, a non-drip valve will automatically operate to
stop any drops of coffee dripping onto the hotplate. Replacement of the carafe automatically
opens the non-drip valve and allows remaining coffee to filter trough into the carafe.
Wait until the brewing process is finished and the filter has run empty.
CLEANING
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Clean the swing filter, the carafe and its lid in
hot soapy water.
Never use abrasive powder.
Never immerse the appliance in water. To clean it only use a soft damp cloth.
Do not use cloth to wash the inside of the water tank, this could let threads or cloth rests in it.
Rinse it regularly with clear water.
DECALCIFICATION
Decalcifying the coffee maker prolongs its life span. For decalcification only use products
especially made for decalcification of coffee makers.
Never use a dishwasher to clean the jug.
Attention: Never use vinegar like descaling agent.
