1. INSTALL THE PIPE NIPPLE

Install Gasket
Hub
Apply sealant tape.
Finished Wall
 Install a 1/2″ NPT pipe nipple so that it extends 5/16″ (8 mm) beyond the fi nished wall when fully tightened.
 Run water through the system to fl ush out dirt and debris.
 Apply sealant tape around the exposed threads of the pipe nipple.
2. INSTALL THE SUPPLY ELBOW
 Install the gasket, if provided, into the back of the escutcheon.
 Slide the escutcheon onto the supply elbow, starting at the hub and stopping at the 90° bend.
 Thread the supply elbow onto the 1/2″ pipe nipple.
 Tighten the wall elbow using a clean strap wrench.
 Press the escutcheon against the fi nished wall.
 If desired, apply a bead of clear sealant around the perimeter of the escutcheon.
