sealant tape.

CAUTION: Risk of product damage. To avoid plugging the showerhead spray outlets, use thread sealant tape
on the shower arm threads. Do not use thread sealant compound.
NOTE: The shower arm is not provided.
 Slide the escutcheon onto the end of the shower arm that will be closest to the wall/ceiling.
 Install the shower arm onto the shower ell according to the shower arm manufacturer’s instructions.
 With the showerhead off, turn on the water to ush out the system.
 Apply thread sealant tape to the threads of the exposed end of the shower arm.
 Handtighten the showerhead to the shower arm.
 Use a clean adjustable wrench to tighten the showerhead onto the shower arm.
 Check for proper operation.
 Check all connections for leaks. Repair as needed.
 If desired, apply a bead of clear silicone sealant to the back perimeter of the escutcheon.
 Carefully slide the escutcheon to the nished wall/ceiling; be careful not to scratch the nish.
 Using a small bladed screwdriver, tighten the setscrew to secure the escutcheon to the shower arm.
 Remove any excess sealant.
