To ensure that you get the best results from your new extractor, we strongly suggest that you read this instruction manual thoroughly before use. If treated with care, your Caple extractor should give you years of troublefree use. I M P O R TA N T This appliance must only be used for the purpose it is intended. Other types of use are not permitted and may prove dangerous. Caple will not be held liable for any damage caused by the incorrect use of the appliance. Do not use any accessories or attachments not recommended by Caple as this may result in fire, electric shock or injury. To protect against fire, electrical shock and injury to persons, do not immerse cords or plugs in water or any other liquid.

- The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels. - Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be conformed to. - Do not flambé under the cooker hood. - Never leave frying pans unattended during use as overheated fats and oils may catch fire. - To ensure the best performance, we recommend switching on the extractor 15 minutes before cooking and leave it running 15 minutes after.
- Never immerse the appliance in water. - This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: › Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments. › Farm Houses. › By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments. › Bed and breakfast type environments. - To avoid all risk, if the power cable is damaged, it must only be replaced by a Caple appointed engineer.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD - Only plug this unit into a properly earthed outlet. If in doubt seek advice from a suitably qualified engineer. - Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock. - This appliance must be connected to the mains by a competent person. We recommend that the appliance is connected by a qualified electrician who is a member of the N.I.C.E.I.C who will comply with the I.E.E and local regulations.

C H I M N E Y I N S TA L L AT I O N Place the upper chimney into lower chimney. Attach the lower chimney bracket to the lower chimney. Mark and drill 2 holes to fix the lower chimney bracket with 2 wall plugs and 2 screws ST4x30mm.
charcoal filters must be installed. I N S TA L L AT I O N – R E C I R C U L AT I O N M O D E If you do not have an outlet to the outside, the exhaust pipe is not required (as shown in the section “Installation ducted”), and charcoal filters must be installed.
N OT E : Make sure the filter is securely locked. Otherwise, it may loosen and be dangerous. When using a charcoal filter, the extraction power may be slightly reduced. We recommend replacing these filters every 6 months. Replacement filters (CAP61CF) can be purchased directly from www.caple.co.
O P E R AT I O N - TO U C H C O N T R O L O N / O F F B U T TO N Press and hold for 2-3 seconds to turn the extractor fan on. You can then change the speeds as per below. Press again to switch off. L O W S P E E D B U T TO N Is suitable for simmering and cooking which does not produce much steam or odour. M E D I U M S P E E D B U T TO N Airflow speed is ideal for extracting with standard cooking.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE I M P O R TA N T Before cleaning or maintenance please switch off the electricity supply and remove the plug from the wall. REGULAR CLEANING Use a soft damp cloth with lukewarm mildly soapy water or household cleaning detergent. Never use metal pads, chemicals, abrasive material, abrasive cleaning creams or stiff brushes to clean the appliance. C L E A N I N G T H E G R E A S E F I LT E R Clean the filter every month to help minimise the risk of fire.
R E P L A C I N G T H E L E D PA N E L N OT E : The lights must be replaced by a qualified person. 1. Switch the unit off and unplug the appliance. 2. Unplug the LED lamp cable. 3. Unscrew the screws and nuts on the 2 brackets. 4. Replace the LED panel and screw back on to the brackets. 5. Plug the LED lamp cable back in. N OT E : The LED light panel is for illumination of the cooking area only, and not illuminating the room.
T R O U B L E S H O OT I N G FA U LT The lights on, but the fan does not work The lights and fan do not work CAUSE SOLUTION The fan blade is jammed. The motor is damaged. Switch off the unit and contact Caple Service. To be repaired by qualified service personnel only. A blown fuse. Replace the fuse. The power cord is loose. Plug in to the power supply again. The fan blade is damaged. Serious vibration of the unit The extraction performance is not good The fan motor is not fixed tightly.
