Sprinkler Pump Troubleshooting Guide K2Pumps.com 2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS All electrical work should be performed by a licensed electrician. WARNING: Risk of electrical shock. Disconnect power before working on pump, motor, pressure switch or wiring. CAUTION: Motors run hot. Do not touch an operating motor. Before handling the pump, disconnect power and allow the motor to cool down for 20 minutes. Read and follow all safety instructions on the pump label and in the owner’s manual for your pump.

Refer to wiring instructions. 2. Low line voltage. 2. Contact an electrician. 3. Pump house not properly vented. 3. Be sure pump has sufficient ventilation to cool the motor. Problem 3: Motor runs but no water is delivered NOTE: Check prime before looking for other causes. Unscrew priming plug and see if water is in priming hole.

Reposition pump to minimize lift (25ft max lift). 2. Steel piping (if used) is corroded or limed, causing excess friction. 2. Replace with plastic pipe where possible, otherwise with new steel pipe. 3. Piping is too small in size. 3. Use larger piping. 4. Low line voltage. 4. Contact an electrician.
