THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS
SERVICED, OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE
ENGINE COULD RESULT.
Congratulations, you have purchased the finest air filter that money can buy. With proper care, this
filter can last many seasons. This filter can be used in a stock machine, with no modifications
required. If any engine modifications have been made tuning/jetting adjustments may be required.
There are special installation instructions, so please follow the procedures outlined below to ensure
the K&N Air Filter seals properly.

1. Unfasten the air box lid clips and two retaining springs.
2. Remove the stock air filter holder. (Fig. 1)
3. Loosen the stock air filter clamp and remove the stock air filter.
NOTE: Keep the stock air filter clamp on the intake tube in the air box base.
5. Install the K&N Air Filter flange into the intake tube. (Fig. 2)
6. Tighten the stock clamp.
7. Reinstall the air filter holder. (Fig. 3)
8. Reinstall the air box lid and fasten the clips and retaining springs.
