1. Turn o the ignition and disconnect the negative
battery cable.
NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery cable
erases pre-programmed electronic memories.
Write down all memory settings before
disconnecting the negative battery cable. Some
radios will require an anti-theft code to be
entered after the battery is reconnected. The
anti-theft code is typically supplied with your
owners manual. In the event your vehicles
anti-theft code cannot be recovered, contact an
authorized dealership to obtain your vehicles
anti-theft code.

2. Release the spring clamp securing the crank
case vent hose to the intake plenum and then
disconnect the hose from the plenum.
3. Remove the plastic clip which secures the intake
plenum to the intake manifold.
4. Loosen the hose clamp securing the intake tube
to the throttle body.
5. Loosen the hose clamp securing the intake tube
to the air lter housing and then remove the intake
tube from the vehicle.
6. Remove the two plastic clips securing the intake
scoop to the core support and then remove the
intake scoop from the vehicle.
WARNING: Please follow these installation instructions carefully. The K&N
®
cold air intake system is a performance product that can
be used safely during mild weather conditions. During harsh and inclement weather conditions, you must convert your cold air intake
system to a short ram conguration, or return your vehicle to the stock OEM airbox and intake tract conguration. Failure to follow
these instructions can void your warranty.
7. Disconnect the mass air sensor electrical
connection.
8. Remove the bolt and nut that secure the air lter
housing into the vehicle and then remove the air
lter housing from the vehicle.
NOTE: K&N Engineering, Inc., recommends that
customers do not discard factory air intake.
9. Remove the two nuts that secure the air lter
housing bracket onto the inner fender.
NOTE: These nuts will be reused in a later step.
NOTE: FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT USING THE PROVIDED HARDWARE
MAY DAMAGE THE INTAKE TUBE, THROTTLE BODY AND ENGINE.
