1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative

battery cable.

NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery

cable erases pre-programmed electronic

memories. Write down all memory settings

before disconnecting the negative battery

cable. Some radios will require an anti-

theft code to be entered after the battery is

reconnected. The anti-theft code is typically

supplied with your owner’s manual. In the

event your vehicles’ anti-theft code cannot be

recovered, contact an authorized dealership to

obtain your vehicles anti-theft code.

2. Loosen the hose clamp securing the intake tube

to the airbox, then disconnect the tube from the

airbox.

3. Remove the three bolts securing the airbox to

the inner fender.

4. Remove the airbox assembly from the vehicle.

NOTE: K&N Engineering, Inc., recommends

that customers do not discard factory air

intake.

5. Disconnect the crankcase vent line and EVAP

vent line at the connections shown.

6. Loosen the hose clamp securing the intake tube

to the turbo inlet, then remove the intake tube from

the vehicle.

7. Install the elbow silicone hose (08504) onto the

turbo inlet as shown and secure with the provided

hose clamp.

8. Install the provided vent ttings into the K&N

intake tube as shown.

NOTE: On automatic transmission equipped

vehicles, the smaller 3/8” vent tting will not be

used and the 1/4 NPT plug should be installed.

NOTE: Plastic NPT ttings are easy to cross

thread. Install the vent tting “hand” tight, then

turn it two complete turns with a wrench.

Extension

10mm

Flat blade screwdriver

10mm wrench

5mm allen wrench

Pliers

NOTE: FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT USING THE PROVIDED HARDWARE

MAY DAMAGE THE INTAKE TUBE, THROTTLE BODY AND ENGINE.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Continued 9. Install the K&N® intake tube into the silicone hose and secure with the provided hose clamp. NOTE: Do not completely tighten the hose clamp at this time. 10. Install the provided filter adapter into the heat shield and secure with the provided hardware. 14. Install the silicone hump hose (08699) onto the filter adapter as shown, secure with the provided hose clamp. 15.
