INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

10. Install the lter adapter onto the heat shield as
shown using the provided hardware.
11. Install the provided silicone hose (08050) onto
the lter adapter and secure with the provided hose
clamp.
12. Install the shorter edge trim onto the heat shield
as shown.
NOTE: Some trimming of the edge trim will be
necessary.
13. Install the longer edge trim onto the heat shield
as shown.
NOTE: Some trimming of the edge trim will be
necessary.
14. Install the heat shield assembly into the vehicle
and secure with the factory nut from step #6 and
hardware provided.
15. Remove the mass air sensor from the factory air
box.
16. Install the mass air sensor onto the heat shield
assembly and secure with the provided hose clamp.
NOTE: Be sure to correctly position the mass air
sensor in the correct direction as indicated by
the arrow which shows the way of air travel.
17. Install the ¼”npt vent tting into the K&N
®
intake
tube as shown.
NOTE: Plastic NPT ttings are easy to cross
thread. Install the vent tting “hand” tight, then
turn it two complete turns with a wrench.
18. Install the angle hose (084089) onto the K&N
®
intake tube and secure with the provided hose
clamp.
NOTE: Do not completely tighten at this time.
19. Install the silicone hose (08051) onto the K&N
®
intake tube and secure with the provided hose
clamp.
NOTE: Do not completely tighten at this time.
20. Install the intake tube assembly onto the throttle
body and mass air sensor, adjust for proper t then
secure with the provided hose clamps.
21. Remove the driver’s side engine cover as
shown.
22. Disconnect the crank case vent tube from the
valve cover and remove from the vehicle.
23. Remove the elbow and foam insulation from the
crank case vent tube as shown.
24. Measure 8.5’ from the end of the tube and then
cut the tube using a sharp knife.
25. Install the provided silicone hose onto the
factory crank case vent tube as shown.
26. Install the crank case breather hose onto the
valve cover and connect the open end to the vent
tting attached to the K&N
®
intake tube.
27. Reinstall the engine cover.
28. Install the K&N
®
air lter and secure with the
provided hose clamp.
