2. Rotate the crank case vent hose locking ring and
disconnect the crank case vent hose from the valve
cover.
3. Loosen the stock intake tube hose clamps and
remove the intake tube assembly from the vehicle.
4. Un-hook the secondary mass air sensor
electrical connection from the power steering
reservoir bracket. Depress the electrical connection
locking tabs and separate the electrical connection.
5. Pull up rmly on the air box, removing it from the
mounting grommets.
NOTE: K&N Engineering, Inc., recommends that
customers do not discard factory air intake.
6. Install “L” bracket (#070026) onto the heat shield
with the provided hardware.
7. Install the long edge trim onto the heat shield as
shown.
NOTE: Some trimming of the edge trim may be
necessary.

1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the
negative battery cable.
NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery
cable erases pre-programmed electronic
memories. Write down all memory settings
before disconnecting the negative battery
cable. Some radios will require an anti-
theft code to be entered after the battery is
reconnected. The anti-theft code is typically
supplied with your owners manual. In the
event your vehicles’ anti-theft code cannot be
recovered, contact an authorized dealership
to obtain your vehicles anti-theft code.
