TOOLS NEEDED:
NOTE: FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT USING THE PROVIDED HARDWARE
MAY DAMAGE THE INTAKE TUBE, THROTTLE BODY AND ENGINE.
1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative
battery cable.
NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery cable
erases pre-programmed electronic memories.
Write down all memory settings before
disconnecting the negative battery cable. Some
radios will require an anti-theft code to be
entered after the battery is reconnected. The
anti-theft code is typically supplied with your
owner’s manual. In the event your vehicles’
anti-theft code cannot be recovered, contact an
authorized dealership to obtain your vehicles
anti-theft code.

2. Disconnect the crank case vent hose at the oil
ller stand off as shown.
3. Loosen the intake tube hose clamps and remove
the intake tube assembly from the vehicle.
4. Remove the two air box retaining bolts.
5. Pull up rmly to dislodge the air box from the
mounting grommet, and remove the air box from
the vehicle.
NOTE: K&N Engineering, Inc., recommends that
customers do not discard factory air intake.
6. Unclip the engine wire harness clip from the
resonator box as shown.
7. Depress the locking tab on the air temp sensor
and disconnect its electrical connection.
8. Remove the two 10mm resonator retaining bolts,
then remove the resonator from the vehicle.
9. Remove the resonator silicone gasket from the
throttle body.
