Congratulations, you have purchased the nest air lter that money can buy. With proper care, this
lter will last 1 million miles or more. This lter is a direct replacement for the stock air lter, and no
modi cations will be required. However, the following procedures MUST be followed to ensure the
proper t and seal of the K&N Air Filter.
Installation
THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS
SERVICED, OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE
ENGINE COULD RESULT.

1. Locate the plastic cover on the driver’s side of the engine. (Fig 1)
2. Locate the words “Clip Behind” on the plastic cover, pull the cover up from this location. (Fig 2)
3. Remove the plastic cover, set it aside, then locate the air box.
4. Un-clip the two metal clips on the top of the air box, (Fig 3) pull up, the lid will slide out.
Remove the lid and set it aside.
5. Remove the OE lter by using the tab and sliding the lter out. Dispose of the OE lter. (Fig 4)
6. Remove the K&N lter from the package. Check to ensure that the K&N lter and plastic cage
are seated together.
7. Using the tab on the plastic cage, (Fig 5) slide the K&N lter into the air box (Fig 6).
8. Slide the lid back into the air box. Ensure the lid is seated all the way down and re-clip the
metal clips. (Fig 7)
9. Re-install the plastic cover.
Note: When cleaning, the K&N lter must be removed from the plastic cage.
