1. Unfasten air box clamps.
2. Remove the factory air box lid.
3. Remove the existing air filter.
4. Clean the factory air box of all dust and debris using a clean, soft rag.
5. Install the K&N Air Filter into the factory air box.
6. Gently press the sealing edge of the K&N Air Filter into the factory air box to ensure that it is properly
sealed.
7. Place air box lid back onto the factory air box.
8. Fasten sequence of clamps. begin at clamp #1, finish with clamp #5 to ensure proper fit. (Fig 1)
Note: Installing a K&N Air Filter will exert greater resistance on factory air box clamps.
Following sequence (Fig. 1) will ensure proper fit.

miles or more. This filter is a direct replacement for the stock air filter, and no modifications will be required. However, the
following procedures MUST be followed to ensure the proper fit and seal of the K&N Air Filter.
THESE INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EVERY TIME THE FILTER IS SERVICED;
OTHERWISE THE FILTER MAY NOT SEAL, AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COULD RESULT.
