Press a desired DISC (1 through 7) button on the front panel, or press DISC SELECTfollowed by a
desired numeric (1 through 7) button on the remote control unit.
By the former operation (pressing I_), the unit starts playback from the disc loaded for playback after closing the
carousel (see the previous page for details about which disc is loaded for playback).
By the latter operation (using DISC, or DISC SELECT + numeric buttons), the unit starts playback from the disc set in
the specified tray. If no disc is set in the specified tray, the unit rotates the carousel clockwise until it finds a disc for
playback.
Regardless of operations for starting playback, the unit plays all available discs sequentially until you stop playback.
With some discs, which automatically goes to the menu screen and waits for the next instruction, the unit does not
move to the next disc.
About DISC indicators (1 through 7)
Each DISC indicator shows the current status of the corresponding tray as follows.
Illuminates if a disc is set in the corresponding tray.
Flashes when the corresponding disc is being played back.
Unlit if no disc is set in the corresponding tray.
NOTES
Once a tray whose status is known by the unit becomes accessible when the carousel opens, the corresponding indicator lights
regardless of whether or not a disc is set.
When the resume point is memorized, pressing _ starts playback from that point instead of the beginning. See page 29.
During playback, the display window shows the title/chapter or track number being played.
With Video CD discs with PBC control or some DVD discs, the menu display may appear on the TV screen after starting
playback. In such a case, select an item to be played back from the menu. Otherwise, the playback cannot go forward.
For operation using a menu, see page 30.
When a DVD disc is set in the front left tray, the unit usually starts playback automatically after closing the carousel and reading
the disc contents.
