Synchronized Disc Recording
You can start and stop both disc playback and tape recording
at the same time.
To record the entire disc
1 Load a disc and insert a recordable cassette.
• If the current playing source is not the CD player, press
CD 6, then 7.
2 Start recording.
On the main unit
3 Flip the cassette tape manually to the opposite side.
• When the tape reaches the end before finishing
playback the disc, the tape will stop and the disc will
pause. Press REC after flipping the cassette tape to the
opposite side track.
• When the disc playback finishes before reaching the
end of the tape, the tape will continue running. To stop
it, press STOP 7.
• When you press REC while playing back the disc, the
current playing track will be started to record from its
beginning to the end.
To erase the recorded track, change the source to TAPE then
press REC.
If the beat is heard while recording
an AM broadcast
• Select “1” or “2” to reduce the beat.
To record Program Play or Random Play
Select Program Play (and make a program: see page 15)
or Random Play (see page 16).
To protect your recording
Cassettes have two small tabs on the back to protect from
unexpected erasure or re-recording.
To protect your recording, remove these tabs.
To re-record on a protected tape, cover the holes with
adhesive tape.
