Navigation operation
Select ROUTE SETTINGS to choose
the route settings.
X Select by turning the right rotary con-
trol and press to confirm selection.

X Select CROSSING in the route menu
with the right rotary control and
press to confirm.
X Select the intersection for the destina-
tion road by turning the right rotary
control and press the control to
confirm.
Select
START- to start route guidance.
Select
SAVE DESTINATION to jump
to the destination memory menu.
Select
ROUTE SETTINGS to choose
the route settings.
X Select by turning the right rotary con-
trol and press to confirm selection.

X Select ROUTE SETTINGS in the
route menu with the right rotary
control and press to confirm.

FAST ROUTE
This selection calculates the shortest
possible journey time.
•
SHORT ROUTE
This selection calculates the shortest
possible distance to the destination.
•
DYNAMIC ROUTE
Dynamic route guidance is used to
calculate the route, taking current traf-
fic announcements into account.
Further information under “Dynamic
route guidance with TMC” on
page 133.
Note:
For larger cities or urban areas, the
setting “
SHORT ROUTE” is recom-
mended.
Note:
Can only be selected when TMC is
active. See “Switching TMC on/off”
on page 158.
If dynamic route guidance is active,
the routes are calculated using the
“Fastest Route” setting.
