Start up your Macintosh
®

•Close any other applications that are currently
running.

Insert the CD-ROM into the
CD-ROM drive.
•The CD-ROM icon appears on the desktop.

Double-click the CD-ROM icon.
•A window containing the “DS SERIAL
TWAIN” and “MGI” folders opens.

Open the “Preferences” folder in
the “System Folder”.
•The system folder can be located by double-
clicking the hard disk icon.

Double-click the “DS SERIAL
TWAIN” folder in the CD-ROM
window.
•A window containing 3 files and 1 folder
opens.

Select the “TWAIN” folder in the
“DS SERIAL TWAIN” folder, then
drag it into the “Preferences”
folder.

Drag the other 3 files from the
“DS SERIAL TWAIN” folder into
the “TWAIN” folder in the “Pref-
erences” folder.

Restart the computer.
•The DS SERIAL TWAIN Driver is now loaded.
