Zoom Operation F
Adjusts the angle of view.
Zooming can be operated using any of the three
levers/rings below.

Zoom ring on the commercially available lens
During the zoom operation, the zoom bar or
number
will appear on the upper right corner of the
screen.

Depending on the zoom speed, the zoom drive
noise of the power zoom may be recorded.

Using the Zoom Lever at the Grip

Press the zoom lever to zoom.

The zoom speed changes according to the
extent the zoom lever is being pushed.

Zooms into wide angle and increases the
angle of view when
“W” is pressed.

Zooms into telephoto and decreases the
angle of view when
“T” is pressed.

The zoom lever at the grip functions with the
power zoom lens. However, if the lens is set to
manual and depending on the lens used, the
zoom lever at the grip may not function.

When using a lens without focus ring, set [Main
Menu] B [Camera Function] B [Grip Zoom] to
“Focus
” to enable focusing (in place of the zoom
operation) using the zoom lever at the grip.

Set the zoom speed individually in [Main
Menu
] B [Camera Function] B [Handle
Zoom Speed L]/[Handle Zoom Speed M]/
[Handle Zoom Speed H].

the zoom speed for “L”, “M” and “H” of the
[ZOOM L/M/H] zoom speed switch
individually.
Increasing the value increases the zoom
speed.

“Off” is selected.

Using Zoom Ring on the Commercially
Available Lens
You can adjust the preferred angle of view by
turning the zoom ring.
Saving/Recalling Current Zoom
Position (Preset Zoom)
This allows you to register up to three zoom
positions.

Assign the “Preset Zoom1”, “Preset
Zoom2
”, or “Preset Zoom3” function to any
of the user buttons.
