NOTE:

PUSH OPEN Button
4 Set the Power Switch to "1_1"or "[]" while
pressing down the Lock Button located on the
switch.
• The power/charge lamp lights and the
camcorder enters the Record-Standby mode.
"PAUSE" is displayed.
5 To start recording, press the Recording Start/Stop
Button. The tally tamp lights and "_ REC"
appears on the display while recording is in
progress.
6 To stop recording, press the Recording Start/Stop
Button again. The camcorder re-enters the
Record-Standby mode.
NOTES:
• The image will not appear simultaneously on the
LCD monitor and the viewfinde_
• If the Record-Standby mode continues for
5 minutes, the camcorderg power shuts off
automatically. To turn the camcorder on again,
push back and pull out the viewfinder again or
close and re-open the LCD monito_
• LCD monitor/viewfinder indications:
• When power is supplied from a battery: the
"_" battery indicator is displayed. I__ pg. 84)
• When power is supplied from an AC outlet: the
"_" battery indicator does not appea_ _r
When a blank portion is left between recorded
scenes on the tape, the time code is interrupted *_
and errors may occur when editing the tape. To _.
avoid this, refer to "Recording From The Middle
OfA Tape" g_ pg. 19).
• To turn the tally lamp or beep sounds off_

• Torecord in LP (Long Ptayl mode, __ pg. 3 I, 34.

TapeRemainingTime
Approximate tape remaining time appears on the
display. "-- h - - m" means the camcorder is
calculating the remaining time. When the remaining
time reaches 2 minutes, the indication starts
blinking.
1 Remove the lens cap.
2 Press PUSH OPEN and open the LCD monitor
fully, or putt out the viewfinder fully.
Set the VIDEO!MEMORY Switch to "VIDEO".
