OPERATIONS ON DVD DECK
This unit records pictures onto DVD-RAM discs, instead of video
tapes, then plays back the pictures recorded on the discs. This
makes it possible to achieve high-speed writing and read-out that
has not been possible with conventional VCRs, enabling recording
and playback simultaneously.
It is called “Live Memory Playback” to start playback of the
programme being recorded, with a time-lag between a recording
point and a playback point, as shown in the figure below.
Not only can this unit play back a programme previously recorded
while recording or timer recording another programme, but the unit
also allows you to play back from the beginning of a programme
while continuing to record the same programme.
Recording/playback Status Display
Press ON SCREEN. The current status is superimposed on the TV
screen.
To Play Back From The Beginning Of The Programme
While Recording
You can play back a programme you are recording from the
beginning while continuing to record or timer record onto a DVD-
RAM disc.
Press 4. Live Memory Playback starts from the beginning of the
programme being recorded.
● Pressing 2 or 6 allows you to locate the desired scenes.
To Move Back The Playback Position Slightly While
Recording (One Touch Replay function)
You can move back the playback position while continuing to
record or timer record onto a DVD-RAM disc.
Press .
● Each press skips back for approximately 7 seconds and resumes
playback.
● Pressing while paused skips back for approximately 7 seconds and
resumes pause.
To Watch A Programme Previously Recorded While
Recording
You can play back a programme you recorded previously while
recording.
1 Press 4 during recording. Live Memory Playback starts.
2 Press 2 or 6 to locate the beginning of the desired
programme.
NOTE:
To stop playback, press 8. The programme being recorded is
displayed.
