4. How to use LCD Check.exe
For optimal performance of the monitor, use the program called LCDCheck_Ver2.0.exe
downloadable from our website at http://healthcare.jvc.com/support/.
The program is for Windows environments.
The program contains the following three test patterns full-screen:
• LCD check pattern
• SMPTE pattern
• Grayscale pattern
Double-click a pattern to move on to the next pattern.
Screen size and position
1. Run LCDCheck_Ver2.0.exe, and the LCD Check
pattern appears.
2. Select AUTO ADJUST in the OSD control panel
and press the MENU button to run it.
3. If artifacts are observed, the PHASE (
P32)
adjustment bar appears followed by the CLOCK
(
P32) adjustment bar. Manually adjust them.
4. To end the program, press the space key or
right-click the pattern. Otherwise, double-click the
pattern to move on to the SMPTE pattern (see
below).
Contrast and black level
1. Select AUTO ADJUST in the OSD control panel and press the MENU button to run it.
2. Double-click the LCD Check pattern, and the SMPTE pattern appears.
3. Verify that the 5 % and 95 % patches on the pattern are visible.
4. If not, manually adjust the BLACK LEVEL so that the 5% patch becomes visible.
Careful not to bump it up too much. It also aects the visibility of the 95 % patch. Try
adjusting CONTRAST as well.
5. Double-click the SMPTE pattern, and the Grayscale pattern appears.
6. Verify that all gray levels are distinguishable and the change in Grayscale values
between any adjacent levels appears the same.
7. Press the space key or right-click the pattern to end the program.
