USB connection:

For the monitor’s QA checking and user calibration purpose, connect the USB cable

from the monitor and the host system with attached USB cable.

For the detail operation, please refer to the instruction manual of the calibration

application software which is separately provided as the calibration kit.

Method of USB communication protocol setting

This product implements bridge device which transfers USB to serial communication

based on RS-232C to enable the USB communication.

When connecting this monitor and PC for the rst time, the communication protocol

will be set automatically.

If any USB communication problem occurs, please check the serial communication

setting according to the following procedure as below.

[Communication Protocol Setting Procedure]

1. Connect the USB communication port of the monitor to the one of PC by provided

USB cable.

2. After the PC recognizes USB connection of the monitor, open Device Manager in

Windows.

3. Open the Ports (COM & LPT) in Device Manager in Windows.

4. Point the Silicon Labs CP210xUSB to UART Bridge (COM**) of the Ports(COM &

LPT). Right click and select the Properties. (** means the COM port number which is

automatically assigned by Windows)

5. Click the Port Settings tab and set the communication protocol listed below.

Bits per second: 115200

Data bits: 8

Parity: None

Stop bits: 1

Flow control: None

6. How to change Communication port Number

If the communication port number which is automatically set by Windows can’t be

used, click the Advanced in the Port Settings tab, then enter arbitrary number as the

communication port number.

[Note1] COM Port Number should be selected from COM1 to COM9.

[Note2] If the proper driver software is not installed, get the latest driver software from

following URL and install the proper driver software.
