5 Maintenance
TEmpty the other receptacle and place it under the
cappuccino frother again.
T Press the
‘Next’ button.
‘Milk system is being cleaned., the cappuccino frother and
the milk pipe are rinsed with fresh water.
The operation stops automatically.
‘Please select product:’
appears on the display.
To make sure the cappuccino frother works properly, and in the
interests of hygiene, it must be dismantled and rinsed daily if you
have been preparing milk. Your IMPRESSA will not prompt you to
dismantle and rinse the frother.
TRemove the milk pipe and rinse it thoroughly under running
water.
TCarefully pull the cappuccino frother down and off.
TDismantle the cappuccino frother into its individual parts.
TRinse all parts of the cappuccino frother thoroughly under
running water. If there are severely dried-on milk residues,
firstly immerse the individual parts in JURA milk system
cleaner and then rinse them thoroughly.
TReassemble the cappuccino frother.
E Ensure that all individual parts are correctly and firmly con-
nected to ensure correct operation of the cappuccino frother.
TFirmly attach the frother to the connector.
Your IMPRESSA no longer has to be descaled if you are using the
CLEARYL Blue filter cartridge. If you did not activate the filter
cartridge the first time you used the machine, you can do this now
as follows.
E Perform the ‘inserting the filter’ operation without any
interruptions. This will ensure that your IMPRESSA always
produces its best.
Precondition:
‘Please select product:’ is displayed.
O TPress the P button.
‘Maintenance status(1/7)’
g TTurn the Rotary Switch until the program item ‘Maintenance
settings(6/7)’
is displayed.
