L-band Positioning Mode
L-band equipped receivers allow you to achieve sub-
meter accuracy. In order to use this positioning mode, you
need an L-band-capable antenna and you must enable
L-band tracking to the OmniSTAR signal. A subscription
to OmniSTAR is required to use the OmniSTAR service.

OmniSTAR Subscription and Activation
Before you contact OmniSTAR to set up a subscription,
nd out what the receiver’s OmniSTAR serial number is
(it is dierent from the NovAtel serial number.) It is a six
digit number in the range 100000 to 9999999. Refer to the
soware operator’s manual for specic instructions to
obtain the OmniSTAR serial number.
Once you know what the serial number is, contact
OmniSTAR at 1-888-883-8476 or 713-785-5850. In order to
activate an OmniSTAR subscription, the receiver must be
powered and tracking an L-band satellite. When advised
by OmniSTAR of the appropriate satellite frequency
and data link rate for your location, follow the soware
instructions to congure your receiver.
