Rack-Mounting Requirements and Warnings
Ensure that the equipment rack into which the router is installed is
evenly and securely supported, to avoid the hazardous condition that
could result from uneven mechanical loading.
WARNING: To prevent bodily injury when mounting or servicing the router in a
rack, take the following pr ecautions t o ensure that the system remains stable. The
following directives help maintain your safety:
The router must be installed into a rack that is secured to the building structure.
Theroutershouldbemountedatthebottomoftherackifitistheonly
unit in the rack.
When mounting the router in a partially filled rack, load the rack from the
bottom to the top with the heaviest component at the bottom of the rack.
If the rack is provided w ith stabilizing devices, install the stabilizers before
mounting or servicing the router in the rack.
