6. Calibration
To Calibrate this unit:
1. Select a flat horizontal reference surface, like a table or
countertop. It should be fairly level, but need not be perfectly
level. Position the level in the horizontal position with the LCD
facing you, as pictured on the cover of this manual.
2. With the digital level turned on, push and hold the CAL button
for 5 seconds.
3. The LCD will show "CAL1" indicating the digital level has
entered the calibration process.
4. After 5 seconds, the display will indicate "CAL2", meaning the
first calibration point was accepted.
5. Rotate the level 180 degrees vertically so that the LCD is still
facing you, but the level is now upside-down.
6. After approximately 5 seconds, the level will finish its self-
calibration and return to normal operating mode, indicating
the calibration was successfully completed. If the level is not
rotated correctly, it will continue to show “CAL2” until the
level is properly rotated.
IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the user to verify the
calibration of the instrument before each use.
