Turn the digital level off. 2. Open the battery panel by pushing down at the top, center position and pull away from the module. 3. Remove the old battery and put in a new one. 4. Turn on the unit to see if all functions are correct. Note: 1. Be careful to follow the polarity symbol when replacing the battery. 2.

Using the Product Key Guide Mode Button Hold/Sound Button Reference/Backlight On/Off Button Button ON/OFF Button Push this button once to turn on the digital level. Push and hold this button in for 3 seconds to turn the digital level off. When in REF Mode, push the on/off button once to exit REF Mode. Reference/Backlight Button Push this button once to enter Reference Mode. The reference function allows for setting any angle or slope to “0.0”.

The LCD backlight will stay on for approximately 30 seconds with no movement of the level. Any push of a button or movement of the level will turn the backlight back on. To exit the backlight function, push and hold this button in for 3 seconds and then release. The default setting for the backlight is off.
122H_Manuals 7/31/13 2:50 PM Page 7 Hold/Sound Button Push this button once to enter hold mode. Pressing this button once will lock the current angle reading displayed on the LCD. The word HOLD will appear at the top of the display to remind you that you are in the HOLD function. Press this button once again to exit the hold mode. Push and hold this button in for 3 seconds and then release to enter the sound function mode. The sound icon will appear on the LCD and there will be 4 different types of sound.

7122H_Manuals 7/31/13 2:50 PM Page 9 6. Self-Calibration IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the user to verify the calibration of the instrument before each use. To Calibrate this unit: 1. Select a flat horizontal platform as a reference surface, like a table surface. 2. With the unit turned on, push the ON/OFF button and push in the MODE button at the same time and let go. The display will show a 1 “-1-”. 3. Push the ON/OFF button once and the solid “-1-” will become a blinking “-1-”. 4.
7122H_Manuals 7/31/13 2:50 PM Page 10 5. Rotate the level 180° putting it in the same position as it was before. Push and release the ON/OFF button and the “-2-” will be flashing. After 3 seconds the unit will return to normal measurement status and the calibration is complete.
