Mean Mushroom Pâté
Ingredients
250g chestnut mushrooms
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp of chopped fresh thyme leaves
100g unsalted butter
50g double cream
Salt and pepper
Fresh crusty bread to serve
1. Place the mushrooms in the Short Cup, attach the Cross Blade and chop until
finely diced.
2. Add butter to a frying pan and heat. Once the butter is sizzling, add the
mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes over a medium to high heat.
3. Add the whole clove of garlic, salt and pepper, and thyme leaves and continue
cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
4. Add the contents of the frying pan to the Tall Cup and blend using the Cross
Blade until the mixture resembles a paste.
5. Place into a saucepan and add double cream.
6. Stir and bring to the boil, simmer one minute, then take off the heat.
7. Serve warm or cold, spread over crusty bread or crackers.
