3.3 MACHINE OPERATION
The following control conditions must be met before elevating
the platform:
• Make sure the pre-start inspection (Section 2) has been
completed, and the machine is safe to use.
• Check that machine base is level and is set up properly for
operation.
• Platform swing-in entry gate must be closed and latched
once the operator is in the platform.
• Ensure Emergency lowering valve is closed.
• Batteries contain enough voltage to operate the machine.
Check the battery charge indicator located on the platform
control box. When indicator is in the RED area battery volt-
age is getting low and battery should be charged before
operating machine.
NOTICE
JLG RECOMMENDS THAT THE OPERATOR UTILIZES A FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEM
IN THE PLATFORM WITH A LANYARD ATTACHED TO THE AUTHORIZED LAN-
YARD ANCHORAGE POINT IN THE PLATFORM.
