5.1 WarningMessagesandTroubleshooting
This printer is designed for minimal user intervention.Occasionally, the LCD displays messages to
adviseuserstotakecorrectiveactions.
Afterclearinganerror,pressSETKeytoinitializetheprinterand[Ready]willbedisplayed.
Warning/ErrorList
Display Solution
PushSetKey PushtheSETKeyonce.
Feederempty
Cardcassetteisempty.Refillcardstothefeeder.Press
SETKeytoresumeprinting.
CoverOpen Closethefrontcovertightly.
Headheathigh
Whenprintheadtemperatureistoohigh,theprinter
willstopprintinguntilthetemperaturedrops.
TempDisorder
Ensure the printer is operating at the specified
ambienttemperature.Then restarttheprinte
r
.
CheckRibbon
Cause: The unused ribbon reached the levels set in
“RibbonNearEnd”.
Action: Beware if unused ribbon is sufficientfor your
printjob.
NoRibbon
Donotturnoffpower.RefertoSection2.2toreplacea
new ribbon. Press SET Key to clear this warning and
the printer resumes the previous printing after
initialization.
InvalidRibbon
ProbableCause:Unrecognizedribbon.
Action:Donot turnoff power. RefertoSection 2.2to
reload the ribbon if ribbon is skewed. Or, check if
ribbon type is YMCK/YMCKK. Press SET Key to clear
this warning and the printer will resume previous
printingafterinitialization.
RibbonJam
ProbableCause:Ribbonwindingproblem.
Action:Donotturnoffpower.RefertoSection2.2to
reloadtheribbon.PressSETKey toclearthiswarning
and the printer will resume previous printing after
initialization.
FeederCardJam
Pressing SET Key as LCD display shown may eject
jammedcardafterinitialization.
Ifthe faultisnotclearedafterlever,turntherollers
manuallytoclearjammedcard.
PrinterCardJam
Donotturnoffpower.Openthefrontcover.Turnthe
rollers to clear jammed card. Close the front cover.
PressSETKeytoclearthiswarningandtheprinterwill
resumepreviousprintingafterinitialization.
