Thefollowingprecautionsmustbeobservedtoassuresafeoperationofyourprinter.Donotdo
anything that is not described in this manual. Doing so could cause an unexpected failure. The
manufacturerisnotresponsibleforanyproblemscausedbyincorrectoperationoftheprinter.
Installation
location
Donotinstalltheprinterinadampordustylocation.
Donotinstalltheprinternearflammableorexplosivematerialsoraheater,
stove or any other device that producesheat. Do not place the printer near
volatilecombustiblematerialssuchascombustiblematerials.
Placetheprinterawa yfromwallstomaintainairflow.Also,maintainatleast
30cm(12inches)ofopenspaceabovetheprinter.
Blockingventsmaycausetheprintertooverheatandfailprematurely.
Donotinstallprinteronanunstabletable,onaslant,oranyplacewherethere
isexcessivevibration.
Do not install the printer in a location susceptible to rapid fluctuations in
temperature.
Donotinstalltheprinterinalocationexposedtodirectsunlight.
Powersupply Useadedicatedpowercableanddonotuseanextensioncordwithmultiple
outlets.
Besuretoremoveanydustfromtheplugandelectricaloutlet.
Humidityproducesamicrocurrentonthesurfacecausingoverheating.
DonotdamageormodifythePowerCable.Also,donotplaceheavyobjects,
pull,orbendpowercordexcessively.
DonotpluginorunplugthePowerCableifyourhandsarewet.
Ensureagroundwireisconnected.
Whenconnectingthegroundwire,notethefollowingcautions.

Be sure to turn off power and unplug the plug from electrical outlet before
movingtheprinter.
Pullontheplugorcablewhenunpluggingitfromanelectricaloutlet.
Donotuseanunderratedextensioncord.
Handling
Donotuseflammablespraysneartheprinter.
Donottouchanythinginsidetheprinterunlessspecifiedinthismanual.
Donotplaceheavyitemsontheprinteranddonotleanontheprinter.
Whiletheprinterisoperating,donotturnoffthepower,unplugthepower
cable,orlookinside(open)theprinter.
