Required Materials
- One JETCO JTR-01 module factory configured as a Base Station (Model number JTR-
01-B).
The Base Station module requires:
- One, 5V DC power supply (Globtek, WR9HA2000CCPMFR6B)
- One, USB Male A to USB micro B female cable.
- One, or more, JETCO JTR-01 RF modules in the normal RF Module
configuration. (Model number JTR-01-R).
- One, Windows 10 based computer with a USB 2.0, or higher version, port.
- At least one, maximum ten, JETCO JTR-01 module(s) factory configured as a RF
Module (Model number JTR-01-R).
The RF Station module(s) require:
- Serial devices to connect to each RF Module. (Each serial device may require
an adapter to the RF Module’s micro B male USB connector. Consult with
JETCO to determine the suitability and any modifications required to interface a
serial device with a JTR-01-R module.)
Base Station Setup
1. Connect the Base Station power supply to the connector on the Base Station
module.
2. Connect the Base Station USB cable to the computer USB port.
3. Plug the power supply into AC power and ensure the AC power is on.
4. Run Device Manager on the computer, look under the ‘Ports’ tab and determine
which port COM number the Base Station attached to the computer. Record the
COM number for use when setting up your serial communications program.
The Base Station will come up as a “USB Serial Device (COMxy)” where xy is
the COM number to use to talk to the Base Station.
To check if the Base Station is communicating, bring up the program you’ll use to
communicate and send the string “^<CR>” to the Base Station. If communicating,
it will respond with its software version and configuration settings. Similar to:
“RFMv06:190225000,915MHz,Addr:EB B 1 E0”
