35. Feed work into a blade or cutter against the
direction of rotation of the blade or cutter only.
36. Installation work and electrical wiring must be
done by a qualified electrician in accordance
with all applicable codes and standards.
37. Tighten all locks before operating.
38. Rotate workpiece by hand before applying
power.
39. Rough out workpiece before installing on
faceplate.
40. Use lowest speed when starting new
workpiece.

1440B Electronic Variable Speed Lathe. This manual contains instructions on installation, safety precautions,
general operating procedures, maintenance instructions and parts breakdown. Your machine has been designed
and constructed to provide consistent, long-term operation if used in accordance with the instructions set forth in
this document.
