Instructions / Assembly

SafetyPup Mesh Panel
Installation Instructions
1. Install all Jerith fence sections, posts and gates, and wait until the concrete has set.
SafetyPup Mesh is an add-on component for a completed fence installation. The mesh
should be installed on the inside of the yard where the dog will be placed.
2. Position the mesh panel between two posts directly against the fence section. For shorter
sections or gates, you will need to cut the horizontal wires on one side of the mesh to
reduce the size of the panel to fit between the posts or gate heights. These wires should be
trimmed as close to a vertical wire as possible to reduce the chance of injury to the dog.
Coat any cut ends with zinc cold galvanizing compound and then paint to prevent rust!
3. Carefully attach the mesh panel onto the fence section or gate using zip ties as shown in
figure 1 and 3. Use two zip ties on each end picket to secure the panel; secure the bottom
ties between the mesh horizontal and the bottom rail at the first and last picket of the
gate/fence section to prevent any up and down movement of the mesh, and the top ties
should secure the top mesh horizontal onto the first and last pickets of the gate/fence
section. Make sure the zip tie is latched on at a 45 degree angle as shown in figure 2.
4. Space out all of the remaining zip ties evenly amongst the pickets in the gate/fence
section as shown in figure 1 and 3. Use two ties per picket.
5. Trim any excess material from the zip ties after they are tightened to prevent the dog
from chewing on them in the future.
