BASIC OPERATION
Switching the Unit On or O
Press the /MUTE button to turn the unit on. The button illuminates.
When unit is on, press and hold the /MUTE button to turn the unit o.
Releasing the Faceplate
Press the (Release) button to detach the removable faceplate.
Sound Adjustment Mode
The sound adjustment mode allows you to easily adjust your mobile audio system
to meet the acoustical characteristics of your vehicle.
To Adjust the Sound:
1. Press the volume knob briey to enter the sound adjustment mode. VOL
appears in the display panel.
2. Press the volume knob briey again until the setting you want to change
appears in the display panel. The settings will change in the following order:
VOL BAS TRB BAL FAD LOUD
(Volume) (Bass) (Treble) (Balance) (Fader) (Loudness)
3. Rotate the volume knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the setting.
The display panel will return to the normal indication in 5 seconds and the
new settings are saved.
Settings:
VOL - Reduces or increases the volume.
BAS - Reduces or increases the bass frequency sound level.
TRB - Reduces or increases the high frequency sound level.
BAL - Balances the audio output levels between the left and right side of the
vehicle.
FAD - Balances the audio output levels between the front and back side of the
vehicle.
LOUD - Automatically alters the frequency response curve of audio to make it
sound more natural when played at a lower volume level.
