To find a length constant
1 Access the Setup menu. (See “Accessing the Setup
menu” on page 59.)
2 Scroll through the menu options using the arrow keys
until Find Length Constant is highlighted.
3 Press the SEL key.
The Find Length Constant screen appears, with the
message Attach Measured Cable showing.

4 Connect a known length of cable to the tester.
5 (Optional) Change the unit of measure to feet or
meters by pressing the SEL key.
6 Set the length of cable on the display by using the left
and right arrow keys to select the digit to be changed
and the up and down arrow keys to change the value
of the selected digit. The maximum valid values are
1500 feet or 460 meters, and the user is not allowed
to enter an invalid length.
7 Press the TEST key to measure the capacitance and
calculate the length constant.
