6 (Optional) Adjust the length constant by using the up
and down arrow keys, if necessary.
7 Press the TEST key to begin the test.
A bar moving across the bottom of the screen indi-
cates the test is in progress. Upon completion of the
test, the length of each pair that has no faults
appears on the Cable Length screen, along with the
current value of the length constant. If a pair has a
fault, a fault message appears for that pair instead of
a length measurement, as in Figure 21.

NOTE
The length constant can also be adjusted in the Setup
menu prior to starting a Cable Length test. See “Find-
ing a length constant” on page 62 in Chapter 5.
