Basic operation
This section explains basic operations
such as switching to standby mode,
adjusting the volume, quickly muting the
sound, and using the touch screen.
►Turning the system on
Press the smart ignition [ENGINE START/
STOP] button or place the ignition switch
in the ACC or IGN (ON) position.
The unit will turn on and the following
screen will appear.
Tap Agree to start the system.
The previously selected radio station or
file is played.
To agree automatically, activate the
checkbox.

►Switching to the power off
(Standby) mode
To turn the unit off (standby) mode while
using the unit's functions, press and hold
the POWER button.
When the unit is turned off, the clock and
date screen appears, which means that
the unit is in standby mode.
You can change the Power off mode by
referring to “Setting the power-off
display type” on page 30.
To start for using the unit's functions,
press POWER button on the unit or
MODE or button on the steering
wheel.
Note
• When a call is made to a Bluetooth-
connected phone, the unit also turns on
automatically for incoming call. Rejected
an incoming call or end a call, the unit also
turns o󰀨.
►Adjusting the volume
Rotate the VOL dial on the unit or press
the VOL + or VOL - buttons on the
steering wheel to increase or decrease
the volume.
When the volume is adjusted, the volume
level bar will appear as shown below.
The volume level has the different ranges for
each mode.
• Radio/Audio/Video: 0 to 35
• Phone: 0 to 15
• Navigation: 1 to 15
