Checking/Adjusting For Side Play
It is possible to compensate for lateral wear which leads to
sideways play of the bucket. Regular use of this
compensating facility leads to less wear on the bucket
swivel pin A and the dipper bushes B.

1 Prepare the machine.

Position the machine on level ground. Set the bucket
as shown

Fig 76. ( T 3-96). Turn it slightly to the
left and position it so that the arm end is pressed to
the side which is not to be adjusted. Stop the engine,
remove the starter key.
2 Measure the Clearance at C.
The clearance should be approximately 0.8 mm
