This feature allows the engine to quickly warm up to
normal operating temperature if the vehicle is not being
used.
Automatic warm up will only be performed 15 seconds
after the engine is started and provided the following
conditions are satisfied:
1 Water temperature is less than 50 ºC (engine coolant
temperature is sent from the ECM via the CAN bus).
2 Upper pilot pressure switch is off (excavator services
not selected) i/p28 (A-6).
3 Travel pilot pressure switch is off (travel service not
selected) i/p27 (A-16).
4 If the throttle volume input changes during auto warm
up then the auto warm up function is cancelled.
When auto warm is activated the EMS will display the
message "AUTO WARM".
The ECU1 will send a RPM target message to the ECM so
that the engine will run at the throttle dial setting for 5
minutes, the engine revs are then increased in 300 rev/
min. steps in 3 minute intervals up to the maximum of 1800
rev/min.
After 3 minutes of running at 1800 rev/min. the engine revs
will return to the throttle dial setting. If during the automatic
warm up sequence any of the required conditions change
i.e. engine water temperature reaches 50 ºC or the
