Once the user selects “Send to ICP” for a particular request, it is sent to the Instructor Control Panel.
The Target description, Guns, Ammo, Trajectory, Distribution, MOC and other settings are fed to the
Instructor Control panel. At this point the “OUT” message is received by the Radio Log. The mission
is not created until the Instructor clicks “Execute” on Instructor Control Panel.
Clicking on the “Say Again” will reject the trainee request allowing trainees to send requests from
the Third Transmission panel again. Clicking on the “Clear” will delete all the processed requests
The trainee requests from both the Third transmission panel and the Adjustment panel (VBS Call for
Fire panels) are received by the ‘Trainee Calls for Fire’ panel.
7.2.1 Method of Fire and Control
7.2.1.1 When Ready
Once the instructor’s Trainee Calls for Fire panel receives a When ready command, the instructor is
supposed to manually send it to the ICP. Once the command is received by the ICP instructor has to
manually execute the mission in ICP.
7.2.1.2 At My Command
If the instructor’s ‘Trainee Calls for Fire’ panel receives an AMC command from trainee, the
instructor is required to send it to the ICP manually. Then the command is received by the ICP. The
instructor is supposed to click Execute in ICP. The guns will load but the fire mission will not
commence until the Fire command is received by the ICP.
At this point the trainee should send Fire command from the Adjustment panel which is received by
the instructor’s ‘Trainee Calls for Fire’ panel. Following the same process the instructor should
