It is recommended to send a current and correct Locstat to the Battery before sending a polar

target location.

To send a polar/ laser polar reference, first enter the direction from the FO to the target in mils,

followed by the FO’s distance to the target.

2. Shift: If a target has been previously recorded or added to the Battery Target Worksheet, it can

be used as a reference point to specify the target.

To do this, you should have entered the name to the Target Name field in the First transmission

panel.

There is an option to specify a relative elevation to the target. This can be in metres or

mils and is relative to the FO’s position.
