28.5 VBS3 Pause and Resume
28.5.1.1 When a scenario is paused in the VBS3 2D view on the event that the 'ESC' key
is pressed, the scenario will resume
- When the simulation timers are paused from VBS3Fires by clicking on the pause button in
the Simulation Status panel and if the user moves on to the 2D view of VBS3 and the escape
key is pressed the mission will be resumed, hence enabling the timers to resume again.
28.6 Effects in VBS3
28.6.1.1 Craters disappear in VBS3 when more rounds of DPICM is fired
There is a maximum number of craters which VBS3 will handle in a certain session. This is defined in
a variable called MaxPermenantCraters in the VBS3.cfg file which could be found in the following
path;
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\VBS3. This variable is by default set to 200. When the number of
craters in the terrain becomes greater than this amount VBS3 clears all the craters which are less
than the specified value (e.g: less than 200) in the terrain and creates the new craters if a new COF is
carried out. By setting this variable to a desired higher value this issue can be solved.
28.6.1.2 Illum Effects in high wind situations
In a scenario with a high ground wind speed, the ILLUM timed rounds should drift with the wind.
28.7 Sim Studio
28.7.1.1 Sim Studio does not display correctly
Sim Studio requires a feature that is supported only on Windows 7 and upwards.
