To do this, run the script command: call firesConnectInProgress
This will force the connection to occur. Ensure that VBS3Fires is running on the correct machine
before calling this script command. When running in trainee mode, this command will connect the
VBS3Fires and VBS3 terminals with no side effects.
28.1.1.8 When a scenario is loaded with more than 3 FOs and Batteries from a
dedicated server, only FOs R1, R2, R3 can create missions and 10,20,30
Batteries are responsive.
In this kind of network deployment, the customized radio net (radioNets.dat) needs to be placed in
the ‘myData’ folder of the VBS3Fires Instructor , then the customized radio net will be loaded to all
the trainees.
28.1.1.9 Why does VBS3Fires have performance issues when the scenario is executed
from preview mode within the Offline Mission Editor?
When running a scenario of VBS3Fires, the scenario should be start in the following manner:
Start VBS3 click ‘Networking’ host the session select the terrain select the VBS3Fires
mission and then proceed on to the scenario.
28.2 Graphical user interface
28.2.1.1 When I click on a menu item, the corresponding panel is not visible
The panel is probably appearing in a location that is not on the screen. Perhaps you ran Fires in full
screen mode last time, but are running it in windowed mode now. Alternatively you may be using a
different resolution. It is possible that the panel you desire is located outside the visible desktop
area. You have three options:
a. Maximize the application
b. Drag the panel to the desired position
c. Resize the application as you wish
28.3 Firing guns
28.3.1.1 My guns do not fire where I expect them to fire
