VBS3Fires v3.6.3 User Guide

Select FO’s callsign from the dropdown list on the left.

Type the grid reference of the FO’s virtual location (which you can obtain form VBS3 GPS or map)

into GR.

The alternative way to enter grid reference is using (From Map button). Click it and then your

mouse will be automatically pointed on VBS3 2D map. Move your mouse pointer to the necessary

position on the VBS3 map and click. Now the grid reference of the location is entered to GR.

Finally, click (Transmit button) to send the Locstat.

Once the locstat is transmitted and a new call-for-fire mission is fired, the FO’s virtual location is

represented in the Geographic View of the Fires Instructor Control Panel

6.1.1.4.2 Set Main FO

Set Main FO allows to select FO as the main FO by right clicking on a preferred FO. It will refresh the

tree and the new set main FO will be shown in bold.

6.2 Tool Bar

Menubar consists of buttons to open frequently used panels. Also it shows the Simulation Status

such as simulation time.
