24.7 Placing the Battery
The Battery ocan be found as one of the top-level entries of the ‘Add Object’ menu in the VBS3
Mission editor. Select this object, and then double click the map to add it. Adding the Battery will
cause a dialog box to appear within the VBS3 Offline Mission Editor [OME]. This will contain a
number of options for the Battery. This can be used to specify the Battery object. Select Gun Type
drop down list, a set of default values are automatically populated to the other entries.

All guns that link to any one Fires Battery object must be of the same type. Any number of
Fires Battery objects can be added to a scenario. There will be a validation to check whether the
Batteries are duplicated in VBS3 Offline Mission Editor. It will automatically rename the callsign when
duplicates are added. The below validation will be done in the start of the scenario from VBS3Fires
application when a mission where Batteries are duplicated.
