24.5 Placing a Battery
There are three steps to placing a Battery in VBS3. These are: placing the individual guns, placing the
Battery object, and then linking the guns to this object.
24.6 Placing individual guns
Placing individual guns can be done by adding vehicles or static objects to the scenario as the user
would normally do in the VBS3 mission editor. In this step, the user can add mortars, static guns,
self-propelled guns, or naval guns. When placing the guns, it is important to place them in the
geographic locations where it is desired that they will begin the scenario from.
VBS3Fires can cater for a greater adjustment of the guns and to update the VBS3 model accordingly.
This will allow guns to fire at different targets with extremely large geographic separation. It will
also allow the minimum firing range of guns to be reduced to the order of 100m (facilitating direct
fire).
A gun can only be linked to one Battery.
