24 VBS3Fires Scenario Design
Creating and editing VBS3Fires scenarios is a simple process. Similarly, any standard VBS3 scenario
can be modified to support VBS3Fires with some minor additions. The key elements unique to a
VBS3Fires scenario are:
Defining a radio net
Adding Fires Battery
Adding a VBS3Fires FO object
Specifying FO call signs
Other than defining radio nets, all VBS3Fires scenario design can be done from inside the standard
VBS3 mission editor.
24.1 Defining Radio Nets
The first step in defining a VBS3Fires scenario should be defining the indirect fire radio nets. These
will define what call signs VBS3Fires will understand for different frequencies.
Radio net can be defined using the following methods;
Method 01: Editing the radio net configuration file in the mission directory or myData folder in the
VBS3Fires installation directory. When VBS3Fires mission starts it will give priority to radio net which
is placed in the mission directory.
Method 02: Use VBS3Fires radio net editing tool to generate the radio nets graphically.
