To start a new fire mission, the following could be typed.

11.4.1 Quickly Enter Commands Using Abbreviations
1. You can type in capitals or lower case, the panel automatically converts any typed text to
uppercase.
2. You can type abbreviations, the panel identifies them and expand into full text (understands
the vocabulary and the grammar of what is being typed).
For example the message:
20 THIS IS R2 FIRE MISSION BTY OVER
Could be typed using abbreviations as below (or many more configurations):
20 ti R2 fm bty over
20 ti R2 FM Battery over
20 this is R2 FIRE MISSION BATTERY OVER
